DLA Piper advises Lufthansa Technik AG on the sale of its majority stake in Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services
DLA Piper has advised Lufthansa Technik AG on the sale of its majority stake in Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services GmbH to the Canadian business jet manufacturer Bombardier. Lufthansa Technik AG previously held 51 percent of the joint venture and Bombardier 29 percent. A further 20 percent were held by co-shareholder ExecuJet, which also sold its shares to Bombardier. The transaction was completed on 31 December 2020.
Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services GmbH, headquartered at Berlin-Schönefeld Airport, was founded in 1997. With more than 15,000 square meters of space and around 240 employees, the company specializes in the maintenance, repair and overhaul services of the Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global business aircraft.
