DLA Piper Canada advises Nova Royalty on $25 million at-the-market equity program
On February 26, 2021, Nova Royalty Corp. (“Nova”) (TSXV: NOVR) announced that it had entered into an equity distribution agreement with BMO Nesbit Burns Inc. and PI Financial Corp. (together, the “Agents”) to establish an at-the-market equity program (“ATM Program”). DLA Piper Canada acted for Nova in this transaction.
Nova may distribute up to $25,000,000 of common shares under the ATM Program, with common shares issued to the public from time to time, through the Agents, at Nova’s discretion. The common shares sold under the ATM Program, if any, will be sold at the prevailing market price at the time of sale. The net proceeds of any such sales will be used to finance the future purchase of streams and royalties by the company and for working capital purposes.
Nova is a Vancouver-based royalty company focused on providing investors with exposure to the building blocks of clean energy - copper and nickel.
The DLA Piper Canada team in this matter was led by Partner Denis G. Silva and Ruby Chan and Mitchell Smith.
