DLA Piper advises Wipro Limited on USD1.45 billion acquisition of Capco
DLA Piper has advised Wipro Limited, a leading global information technology, consulting and business process services company, on all non-US and non-India aspects of the USD1.45 billion acquisition of Capco, spanning from due diligence to transactional document advice as well as advice on antitrust and foreign direct investment issues across 21 jurisdictions. DLA Piper's global presence favored smooth coordination and communication across 21 international offices to create a seamless cross-border transactional team with a multi-jurisdictional scope.
The acquisition is expected to be completed during the quarter ending 30 June, 2021, subject to requisite regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. The acquisition will make Wipro one of the largest end-to-end global consulting, technology and transformation service providers to the banking and financial services industry.
