DLA Piper advises TRUMPF Group on the global acquisition of Lantek

DLA Piper has advised multinational Germany-headquartered TRUMPF Group on the acquisition of the global business of Lantek Sheet Metal Solutions.

TRUMPF is one of the world’s leading companies for machine tools, laser technology and electronics for industrial applications. In the 2019/20 fiscal year, the company – which has about 14,300 employees worldwide – generated a turnover of EUR3,5 billion.

Lantek is a leading global provider of software systems and solutions for companies in the sheet metal working industry, with a presence in 14 countries.

The cross-border DLA Piper team was led by partner Teresa Zueco (Corporate, Madrid) and Country Managing Partner in Germany Dr Benjamin Parameswaran (Corporate/M&A, Hamburg) – who is also DLA Piper’s global client relationship partner for TRUMPF Group. They were supported by a core team consisting of Corporate associates Héctor Gómez, Alejandra Castañeda and Carlos Fuerte (all Madrid-based). The DLA Piper team also included colleagues from over ten jurisdictions including the UK, US, France, Germany and China.
