DLA Piper advises Sber on acquisition of 80% stake in Russian interactive video content platform Movika
DLA Piper has advised Digital Assets, a Sber company, on the acquisition of a 80% stake in Movika, a Russian interactive video content platform.
Sber’s investments will help develop technologies for creating interactive videos, as well as expand Movika’s business operations. The company’s technologies will be integrated into various services and products of the Sber ecosystem.
DLA Piper provided full legal support for the transaction. The firm’s Corporate team was led by Moscow-based partner and global co-chair of Emerging Growth and Venture Capital, Leo Batalov, assisted by legal director Andrei Sheetkin, associates Alexandra Braterskaya and Konstantin Savryga. St Petersburg-based Intellectual Property and Technology legal director Roman Golovatsky and associate Igor Matveyev also advised on the transaction.
