DLA Piper advises Six One Commodities Global LLC in acquisitions of Vega Energy Partners and WGL Midstream
DLA Piper represented Six One Commodities Global LLC, a natural gas and power merchant, in its acquisitions of Vega Energy Partners, Ltd., a Houston, Texas-based energy merchant that holds asset management agreements, and WGL Midstream, Inc., a wholesale energy solutions business that invests in and optimizes natural gas pipelines and storage facilities in the Midwest and Eastern United States.
“It was a pleasure to bring to bear our energy sector M&A experience to advise Six One Commodities Global in these strategic acquisitions, which amounted to a complex series of transactions with multiple workstreams taking place over the course of several months and required a practical knowledge of how gas sales and marketing works, in order to transition multiple trading books from sellers to a buyer,” said Deanna Reitman, who led the DLA Piper deal team.
In addition to Reitman, the DLA Piper team advising Six One Commodities Global included Annette Moreno and Glenn Reitman (all of Houston).
