WirtschaftsWoche honors Dr Benjamin Parameswaran as Senior Leader of the Year

This year, WirtschaftsWoche as one of the most prominent weekly business publications in Germany, supported by the Handelsblatt Research Institute, honors Germany´s most innovative law firms and individual lawyers for the first time in various categories. Dr. Benjamin Parameswaran, Managing Partner of DLA Piper in Germany, receives this year's (Senior) Leader of the Year award. WirtschaftsWoche is one of the leading and most widely published business magazines in Germany with a printed distributed circulation over 1 million copies.

Dr Parameswaran succeeded with a pitch to a panel of judges consisting of a number of expert legal professionals. According to WirtschaftsWoche, the (Senior) Leader of the Year award goes to individual senior-level thought leaders who have significantly advanced and shaped their organization over the past 12 months. They have either proven themselves remarkably in crisis management, significantly advanced growth or financial performance, or made exceptional achievements in the areas of innovation, digital transformation, diversity or inclusion.

In addition to the personal award for Dr Benjamin Parameswaran, five DLA Piper projects were rated “Excellent” by the judges in the areas Deals & Procedures and Initiatives & Talent of the “Best of Legal” awards, such as in the M&A Deals category, and for the Sustainability and the LGBT+ Network Iris projects. DLA Piper's talent management and law firm concept were also awarded with the rating “Excellent”.
