DLA Piper advises Stillfront Group on acquisition of Game Labs Inc.

DLA Piper has advised Stillfront Group AB (publ) (Stillfront), a leading free-to-play powerhouse of gaming studios, on the acquisition of 100% of the shares in Game Labs Inc (Game Labs). The sellers are the joint founders and management of Game Labs.

Game Labs is a rapidly growing independent game studio with a team of approximately 30 people located in Ukraine, Russia, Greece, Dubai, Italy and Estonia. Game Labs has a solid track record of developing highly immersive and critically acclaimed real time premium strategy and action games for PC.

Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Stillfront is listed on Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market. With the acquisition of Game Labs, Stillfront aims to strengthen its portfolio of strategy and action games.

The DLA Piper multi-jurisdictional team comprised lawyers across Sweden, the US, and Ukraine. The Ukrainian transaction team was led by Partner Alla Kozachenko, Legal director Anastasiya Bolkhovitinova (Corporate and M&A) and Legal director Natalia Kirichenko (Intellectual Property and Technology) with the key support from Associates Ivan Shatov (Intellectual Property and Technology) and Anna Vizniak (Corporate and M&A). DLA Piper Ukraine conducted the legal due diligence of the Ukrainian operations, advised on the structure of the transaction, prepared relevant documentation, assisted at signing and closing.
