Ken Muller joins DLA Piper’s global Investment Funds practice

DLA Piper announced today that Ken Muller has joined the firm as a partner in the global Investment Funds practice.

Based in San Francisco and Palo Alto, Muller will continue to represent private investment funds and growth companies in all aspects of their enterprises, including: the formation, organization and operation of private equity funds, private equity real estate funds, venture capital funds, debt funds and secondary funds; the representation of registered investment advisers and exempt reporting advisers; the establishment of separate accounts, co-investment vehicles and REITs; as well as private equity and strategic finance, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, public and private offerings, joint ventures, cross-border transactions, subscription-backed credit facilities and other types of business transactions.

“Ken has an excellent reputation in the industry, and he immediately enhances our growing investment management and investment fund capabilities in a number of substantive ways,” said John Cusack, US chair and global co-chair of DLA Piper’s Finance practice.

“Ken has represented a variety of large and well-known private fund sponsors; his outstanding background and broad experience will be highly valuable to our investment fund clients,” said Nathaniel Marrs, co-head of the firm’s Investment Funds practice.

Muller is the latest addition to the firm’s growing Investment Funds and Investment Management practices, which have also recently welcomed partners Yoni Tuchman and Kevin Bettsteller in Los Angeles and Adam Tope and John Reiss in New York.

Muller joins from Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He received his J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law and his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
