New partner joins DLA Piper’s Intellectual Property and Technology practice in Birmingham

DLA Piper has appointed Ryan Harrison as partner to its Intellectual Property and Technology (IPT) Practice in Birmingham.

Ryan joins from Browne Jacobson where his focus has been on the commercial aspects of IPT, advising clients on contractual issues and on general commercial contracts incorporating a strong sector-led approach, with the retail, health and beauty, life sciences and manufacturing sectors being areas of particular expertise.

The IPT group's aim is to be able to provide high quality, high value, IP, tech, data and commercial related legal services in all of the geographical regions in which those services are important to our clients with the UK continuing to be an priority market for the group to grow. 

Commenting on the appointment, Paul Allen, Global Co-Chair of DLA Piper’s Intellectual Property & Technology practice, said: “Ryan joins partners Gareth Stokes and Richard Taylor in the Birmingham IPT team and will be a perfect fit.
