DLA Piper wins at the WIPL UK Awards 2022

DLA Piper’s London-based Pensions De-risking partner Amrit Mclean has been named Innovative Leader at Law.com International’s Women Influence & Power in Law (WIPL) UK Awards 2022, held in London on Wednesday, 18 May.

The event recognises the top female lawyers who have made a remarkable difference in the legal profession over the last year. The awards highlighted those who have helped shape the law, achieved outstanding results for their clients, been an outstanding jurist or assisted those in need of legal services.

Amrit was commended for single-handedly revolutionising how the GBP40 billion+ per annum UK bulk annuity market approaches transactions in just 12 months. Over the past year, Amrit has created and launched a new ground-breaking market product called the Buyers’ Report. The Report is used to simultaneously provide due diligence reports to multiple clients, allowing all insurers to actively participate in the bidding process for the transaction. Amrit and her team have just completed their fourth Buyers’ Report, helping trustees secure additional risk cover on over GBP6 billion in pension scheme liability.
