DLA Piper Canada practitioners recognized as intellectual property leaders ‎by ‎Managing IP

We are proud to announce DLA Piper Canada Intellectual Property (IP) practitioners have once again been recognized by Managing Intellectual Property Stars (MIP Stars) as industry leaders in IP. The firm has been named for it’s outstanding service in both Patent and Trademark Contentious and Trademark Prosecution categories, and four IP Partners have been recognized as 2022 MIP Stars.

Jamie Mills has been recognized as both a Patent Star and Trademark Star, Alan Macek and Geoff Mowatt have been named IP Patent Stars, and Sangeetha Punniyamoorthy has been named as a Trademark Star. Notable practitioners Bruce W. Stratton and Bentley Gaikis round out the 2022 MIP Stars rankings.

Sangeetha Punniyamoorthy has been named in MIP Stars Top 250 Women in IP. Sangeetha chairs DLA Piper’s Canadian Intellectual Property and Technology practice group. She has extensive experiences in all areas of intellectual property, including litigating precedent setting cases before the Supreme Court of Canada.

MIP Stars Top 250 Women in IP recognizes female IP practitioners who have provided outstanding client service from September 2021-Feburary 2022 and are select from the 2022 IP Star recognitions. The research is conducted across over 30 jurisdictions, and identifies senior female IP practitioners in private practice who have “performed exceptionally well for their clients and firms in the past year”.
