DLA Piper Canada partners with leading Canadian startup incubator DMZ in program for women entrepreneurs
DLA Piper Canada is proud to be the legal support partner of DMZ’s new program in support of women entrepreneurs. Launchpad for Women Entrepreneurs, developed by DMZ at Toronto Metropolitan University and the YMCA of Greater Toronto, is a dynamic program designed exclusively for women entrepreneurs of diverse backgrounds and industries.
Launchpad provides women with the knowledge, skills, and resources to kickstart their entrepreneurial journeys while tapping into connections to mentors and a community to propel their businesses forward. Women entrepreneurs can participate in Launchpad by joining live, guided sessions offered both virtually and in-person at locations in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, or work through on-demand learning content at their own pace.
DLA Piper takes pride in fostering innovation and diversity within the business landscape and this partnership exemplifies our commitment to start-ups and women-led enterprises. Through collaborations like this one, the firm aims to empower emerging businesses and provide valuable support to women entrepreneurs, who play a vital role in driving economic growth and innovation. As part of the program, Toronto lawyers Sydney Kert and Jamie Mandell will lead legal clinics and other hands-on training.
