DLA Piper (Canada) LLP to host the 2024 Harold G. Fox Moot

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP is proud to once more participate as a platinum sponsor and event co-ordinator ‎of The Harold G. Fox Moot on intellectual property law.

‎For the eighth consecutive year, DLA Piper Canada will play a key role in organizing this ‎event, which promotes the study of Canadian intellectual property law and allows law students to interact ‎with jurists from Canada’s highest courts. The 2024 moot is co-chaired by DLA Piper Canada IP Partner Bentley Gaikis and Associate Cristina Mihalceanu.

From 23-24 February, nine schools from across Canada will participate in the Moot. This year’s moot will feature judicial panellists from the Supreme Court of Canada, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the ‎Federal Court of Appeal, the Federal Court and the Superior Court of ‎Justice for Ontario. The Honourable Leonard P. Stark, Justice of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, will deliver the introductory Fox lecture: “Litigating Patentable Subject Matter: A View From Several Benches”.

The event is named in honour of leading intellectual property scholar and advocate, Harold G. Fox. ‎
