DLA Piper advises on Series C investment in The Exploration Company

Global law firm DLA Piper advised the Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, in connection with The Exploration Company’s USD450 million Series C financing, the largest-ever Series C financing by a European space company.

The financing is intended to support the development and scaling of The Exploration Company’s space transportation capabilities, including Nyx, its reusable spacecraft designed to transport cargo to and from current and future space stations and other orbital destinations.

The Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, is a commercially driven investment fund backing ambitious European technology companies with the potential to become global leaders. Targeting EUR5 billion, the Fund brings together public and private capital and invests across DeepTech, AI and Life Sciences

A cross-border team from DLA Piper's Frankfurt and Stockholm offices worked on the transaction led by Corporate partners Andreas Füchsel and Mikael Moreira and counsel Tatiana Marzoli. They were supported mainly by senior associate Alexander Sansotta.
