Charlie advises on complex insurance and reinsurance coverage disputes and regularly acts for insurers and reinsurers in arbitration and Commercial Court litigation. He has experience across most lines of direct insurance business, and both facultative and treaty reinsurance.
Charlie also regularly advises insurers, reinsurers and corporate clients on policy wording issues at the policy inception stage.
Charlie has previously undertaken a secondment with a London Market managing general agent.
EXPERIENCE
- Advising London Market reinsurers in respect of their potential exposure to aviation losses related to the conflict in Russia/Ukraine.
- Advising insurers in respect of a contingent liability policy concerning a class action litigation and a potential breach of the Insurance Act duty of fair presentation.
- Advising London Market reinsurers on the aggregation of Covid-19 related losses.
- Advising international private equity clients in respect of the placement of trade credit and political risk insurance policies.
