Giulia Basilico advises and represents Italian and international companies in corporate criminal law matters, providing both litigation support and specialist advice. She has experience in criminal litigation, particularly in relation to tax, environmental and occupational health and safety offences, as well as in defending companies in proceedings concerning corporate liability under Italian Legislative Decree No. 231/2001.
She assists clients with the preparation, review and implementation of organisational, management and control models under Decree 231, as well as the design and implementation of corporate policies, procedures and compliance programmes, including in multinational contexts and with a particular focus on anti-corruption.
She also advises Supervisory Bodies established under Decree 231 and supports companies in planning and delivering training programmes on corporate criminal law and compliance.
Giulia also conducts internal investigations, including in multinational contexts, and assists companies in assessing and addressing the issues identified, including by strengthening their internal controls.
Giulia is a lawyer in the White Collar Crime, Investigation and Compliance group within the Litigation & Regulatory department, based in the Milan office.
