Sean Becker is a land use attorney that advises clients on, and helps them to secure, a range of government approvals and entitlements for real estate development projects. Sean works with investors, developers, property owners, property management, institutional entities, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. He has worked in jurisdictions throughout California and beyond on a range of product types; from multifamily and mixed-use developments to hospitality developments, office buildings, retail and shopping malls, life science and industrial projects, warehouse and storage facilities, data centers and renewable energy projects. In addition to project-level entitlements, he has helped clients secure large Master Plan and Specific Plan approvals, permitting those clients to streamline subsequent individual project development approval at later date.
Sean’s knowledge of California land use law allows clients to obtain approvals effectively and efficiently. In doing so, he deploys his knowledge of the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”), the State Density Bonus Law, the Subdivision Map Act, State Housing Element Law, the Brown Act, the Williamson Act, various state housing laws, and numerous local land use ordinances and policies.
