Jianna Faner practices civil and commercial litigation, with a focus on family law. Jianna has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia (BC) and in alternative dispute resolution forums like mediation and arbitration.

Jianna's family law practice includes matters pertaining to property division, spousal support, child support, parenting arrangements, companion animals, and drafting and advising on cohabitation, marriage and separation agreements.

Jianna's litigation practice includes a broad range of commercial matters, such as complex contractual disputes, partnership or shareholder disputes, and environmental disputes, as well as estate litigation matters, such as wills variation, wills validity, and claims relating to documents that do not meet the formality requirements of a will in BC.

During law school, Jianna completed a clinical term at Rise Women's Legal Centre, where she provided family law advice and assistance, primarily on parenting arrangements and support matters. She also completed a Specialization in Environmental and Natural Resources Law, competed in the Willms & Shier Environmental Law Moot, and worked for the Centre for Law and the Environment. Before law school, Jianna completed an Honours degree in English language and literatures, with a focus on Asian transnational literatures and sociolinguistics. She is a proud Filipina and was born in Manila, Philippines.

Jianna summered and articled with the firm before joining as an associate in 2024.
