Eduardo Gallastegui focuses his practice on corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, finance law, and financial transactions matters.

Eduardo advises financial institutions and debtor companies in respect to international credit facilities, structured finance, project finance, securities offerings and restructurings. He additionally acts as legal counsel to corporations and private equity funds with respect to mergers and acquisitions, including involving regulated industries, as well as joint ventures, both on the sell side and on the buy side.

Eduardo is involved in the review, analysis, organization and drafting of documents in all stages of transactions, from inception and negotiation to closing and successful implementation.

Eduardo also acts as legal counsel to non-profit organizations and provides legal assistance in underserved communities to promote access to justice, as well as social and economic development. Eduardo permanently assists Por el Agua de la Ciudad de México, A.C., a non-profit organization, with all its corporate matters, with the purpose of creating solutions for water scarcity in Mexico City. 

Eduardo is also legal advisor to a Mexican subsidiary of Heartland Alliance International, a U.S. non-profit organization dedicated to protecting human rights.

  • Advised RS Group in its US$275 million acquisition of Risoul, leading distributor of industrial and automation product and service solutions in Mexico.
  • Assisted Tentamus Group on an investment in Lambda Científica, S.A. de C.V. and Actitum MDC, S. de R.L. de C.V., leading analytical laboratories in the pharmaceutical sector in Mexico.
  • Representation of Fortive in the acquisition of sterilization product business line from Johnson & Johnson.
  • Advised ING (London Branch) in connection with the security documents under certain loans entered into with Seadrill México.
  • Assisted GAP in the sale of Old Navy’s local operations to Mexican retailer, Grupo Axo.
