About

Anthony Lemke is Counsel in the Montreal office's Real Estate Group. He represents landowners against all levels of government in expropriation matters and municipal law. He brings years of hands-on ‎real estate experience and a unique profile as a negotiator and communicator to his work in ‎expropriation law and real estate litigation.

Before joining DLA Piper, Anthony served as Managing Partner of a property development company, gaining in-depth knowledge of the entire real estate development cycle—‎from project sourcing and acquisition to construction, leasing, and management. ‎He represented the company in public forums and before municipal councils, successfully navigating complex regulatory challenges, including ‎a heritage conservation district before the Ontario Land Tribunal.‎ Anthony also practiced in the Real Estate Group of a growth-oriented Montreal law firm, ‎advising clients on a wide range of commercial real estate matters.

Beyond his legal practice, Anthony has served on the Canadian board of a Nobel-Prize-winning NGO supporting people with disabilities in conflict zones worldwide. As the organization’s Ambassador in Canada, he led national outreach campaigns across diverse media platforms. ‎He also volunteers his time with the Préville Fine Arts Centre, an arts organization on Montreal’s South Shore.

Anthony received his LL.B. from McGill University with Great Distinction. He is fluently bilingual in French and English and serves clients in both languages. Anthony is also an actor.
