Kate Love is a member of the Restructuring Group. Her practice focuses on restructuring and insolvency law, as well as commercial litigation and arbitration matters.
Kate advises and supports clients and senior counsel on a wide range of insolvency, restructuring, and litigation issues, including receiverships, cross-border restructurings, injunctions, arbitrations, and debtor- and creditor-side solutions. She has appeared before the Provincial Court of British Columbia and the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
During law school, Kate served as co-chair of Dalhousie University's Environmental Law Students' Society. Kate also competed in an international environmental moot court competition, where she achieved best orator in the North America regional rounds. She completed several internships within the not-for-profit sector, contributing to conservation research and advising on Indigenous and Aboriginal law considerations and regulatory issues related to coastal habitat protection.
Before law school, Kate completed a BSc (Hons) in Marine Biology at Dalhousie. She summered and articled with DLA Piper before joining the firm as an associate.
