Dan Misutka

Dan Misutka is an experienced, senior litigator with a practice focussed on tax dispute resolution and ‎administrative law matters.‎

Dan has extensive trial experience and has appeared before all levels of courts in Alberta, the Federal ‎Court and the Tax Court of Canada. Time and again his experience has allowed him to help clients achieve ‎meaningful resolution of tax disputes at early stages. Dan presents regularly on tax dispute resolution ‎topics and has taught professional development courses for the Canadian Institute of Chartered ‎Accountants (now CPA Canada).‎

In addition to his tax practice, Dan has a well-developed skillset with regulatory law, particularly in energy ‎and natural resource development.‎

Before entering private practice Dan was a senior federal prosecutor and later transitioned into a role as ‎tax litigation counsel for the Minister of National Revenue.‎
