Sarah is an Associate in the Litigation and Regulatory group, advising on commercial litigation and a wide range of regulatory and compliance matters.

She has notable experience in complex, large scale commercial disputes, including judicial review proceedings and multi-defendant litigation.

Sarah also advises Irish and international clients on product liability, consumer protection and other regulatory frameworks across key sectors such as consumer goods, food and retail, technology and media, sport and entertainment.

EXPERIENCE

  • Representing a publicly-listed wind farm and renewable energy company in Judicial Review proceedings in the Commercial Court division of the Irish High Court, challenging a decision of the State energy regulator, the Commission for Regulation of Utilities, in relation to the implementation of a key Regulation under the EU's Clean Energy Package, as well as in appeal proceedings before the Irish Supreme Court and preliminary reference proceedings before the CJEU.
  • Represented a provider of insurance and reinsurance, in relation to aircraft lessor claims arising from sanctions imposed affecting aircraft assets leased to Russian airline operators.
  • Represented a leading underwriter of transactional insurance products, on a cross-border merger and the associated application to the Irish High Court.
  • Represented a global nutrition company, in a Commercial Court dispute arising from the supply of contaminated products.
  • Advising a number of key clients on domestic and cross-border debt recovery and enforcement in the Irish High Court.
  • Advising a global life sciences company on complex breach of contract proceedings in the Irish High Court.

Sarah is an active member of the CSR and Pro Bono Committee and is involved in a number of ongoing pro bono projects, including the KIND Project (where she is currently assisting a displaced minor with their application for family reunification) and Rule 39 (where she is assisting with an application to the European Court of Human Rights).

During the final seat of her training contract, Sarah was seconded to the UK Pro Bono team in London where she assisted on a number of asylum and family reunion applications.
