Rabeth Pareja

Rabeth Pareja advises insurance and reinsurance companies, brokers, insurance intermediaries, corporates and policyholders on claims handling, policy coverage and the regulation of insurance activity.

He specializes in handling large-risk claims under property and civil liability policies, an area where coverage disputes are decided on technical detail. Rabeth knows that detail from the inside: before moving into private practice, he headed the complex general risks claims team at one of the country’s leading insurers and managed the claims portfolio of a credit and surety insurance company. That in-house background allows him to anticipate how the other side will assess a claim and to build the client's position on that basis.

Throughout his career, he has contributed to the design of insurance products and the drafting of insurance programmes and policies, resolving disputes arising from insurance and reinsurance wordings. He regularly appears in court and arbitration proceedings, as well as in administrative proceedings and complaints before the Peruvian Insurance Ombudsman, the SBS user service platform and Indecopi.
