About

Lara Shehadeh has specialised in arbitration and litigation, after gaining experience in various fields of law, including corporate, real estate, and family law, both nationally and internationally. Her diverse clientele included private individuals and companies in the construction, services, and education sectors.

Lara Shehadeh was the one-stop-shop for family matters at her previous law firm in the UK, where she provided professional legal support and balanced emotional guidance for various family-related conflicts. She also demonstrated her flexibility and adaptability by assisting in other areas of law, such as inheritance tax and property law, when needed.

Simultaneously, Lara worked at a local Qatari law firm, where she assisted a variety of international market-leading companies established in Qatar. With a deep understanding of the Qatari court system, she coordinated with different departments to achieve clients' objectives efficiently.

She graduated with an Honours degree in Law (LLB) from the University of Liverpool in 2021 and is currently on the path to becoming a qualified solicitor in England and Wales.

EXPERIENCE

  • QICCA Arbitration case which involved the supply and installation of Atrevia Panels in the Landmark area of Doha, with claims and counterclaims related to the cause of damage, maintenance, and payment, allowing our client to establish that they have contractually fulfilled all responsibilities and seek the outstanding balance along with compensation.
  • Handled the summary return of children who were allegedly abducted from Ghana to the UK by their mother without the father's permission. Presented key findings and detailed evidence to demonstrate that it is in the children's best interest to remain in the UK.
  • Represented a market-leading international company manufacturing and selling Paint and assisted in a complex legal dispute involving a bank guarantee and allegations of forgery. The case progressed through multiple levels of the judicial system, including the first court of instance, appeal, cassation, and back to appeal, ultimately resulting in a favourable outcome for our client awarding.
  • Handled a complex family law dispute over four years concerning a consent order for financial arrangements in a divorce. The Court of England and Wales set a standard precedent to ensure a fair and just outcome for both parties. Was able to successfully close the matter after joining the firm by striking a balance the parties and the Court was happy with.
