Elena is an associate in the Real Estate department of DLA Piper Spain. She joined the firm as trainee, where she spent one year gaining experience before being promoted to her current role.

Elena has experience in real estate law, advising on the negotiation and drafting of commercial lease agreements and legal review of asset and share deals involving real estate assets. In addition, she has been involved in urban planning matters closely connected to real estate transactions, reviewing planning instruments, such as general and partial plans, special plans and urbanization projects, as well as liaising with public authorities to obtain necessary authorizations required for the execution of real estate developments.

  • Advising on the sale and acquisition of hotels, logistics, residential, commercial and retail properties, including asset and share deals.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial lease agreements for office spaces, retail units and industrial premises.
  • Conducting legal due diligence processes in real estate transactions, including the review of title deeds, lease agreements, urban planning compliance, registry and cadastral status of assets, and any other relevant documentation in relation to the reviewed assets.
  • Drafting and reviewing public deeds related to real estate transactions, including sale and purchase deeds, segregation deeds and mortgage cancellation deeds, among others. Additionally, regularly liaising with notary offices to coordinate the execution and signing of such deeds in connection with real estate operations.
  • Supporting clients in the registration of real estate assets and rights with the Land Registry and Cadastral Office.
  • Advising on real estate aspects of corporate restructurings and financing transactions involving real estate collateral, including the granting of security over real estate assets.
  • Supporting clients in the development and operation of data centres, including land acquisition, permitting, and lease structuring.
  • Advising on renewable energy projects, particularly photovoltaic and solar panel installations, including land use agreements, regulatory compliance and project financing.
  • Providing legal support in the negotiation of sale and leaseback transactions and build-to-suit agreements.
