DLA Piper advises Ark Data Centres on its more than EUR600 million investment to develop a data center in Barcelona

DLA Piper has advised Ark Data Centres Limited on the acquisition of 30,000 square meters of industrial land in Barcelona for the development of a new data center campus.

The transaction is part of an investment exceeding EUR600 million to develop a facility with an expected capacity of up to 45 MW IT in La Maquinista area, contributing to Barcelona’s positioning as a hub for digital infrastructure.

The legal team advising on the transaction was led by José María Oliva, Head of Real Estate in Spain, and supported by a cross-office team across Madrid and London.
