Damon M. Watson-Willis is a member of eXplore, DLA Piper’s eDiscovery Resource Center and is an essential team member supporting case teams and clients. As a member of eXplore, Damon provides high-level document review and analysis services essential for our clients, including production review, privilege review, quality control review, and fact investigation. Damon has significant experience with Relativity and other eDiscovery tools, including analytical tools and technology-assisted review.

Damon has a wealth of experience in the legal field, particularly in eDiscovery and litigation services, having worked eight years on matters relating to regulatory investigations, subpoenas and third-party requests, and due diligence assessments with regard to mergers and acquisitions. In addition, he has worked on employment law, class actions, and mortgage back securities cases.

Damon is a former prosecutor for the Department of Justice.

Prior Experience

Damon, worked for three and-a-half years as a prosecutor. He used his skills to bring justice to the people of the US Virgin Islands, but also utilized various mechanisms within the criminal justice system to go beyond merely seeking imprisonment. He ensured that punishments were fair and focusing on rehabilitation. This approach is crucial for a society that values not only justice but also the reintegration of individuals as productive members of society.

He mainly focused on arraignments, and witness interviews for Traffic, Assaults, Burglary, Robbery, and Destruction of Property cases. Damon also worked in Suppression Hearings.
