Compliance lawyer and litigator Ed Hanover joins DLA Piper from FIFA

Ed Hanover, a compliance lawyer and litigator with particular experience in the sports and life sciences industries, has joined DLA Piper as a partner and will be based in Silicon Valley.

Ed comes to the firm from le Fédération Internationale de Football Association, FIFA, where he served as chief compliance officer and was responsible for implementing a successful compliance program and leading a team of compliance professionals supporting 211 member associations and six confederations around the world. 

Earlier in his career, Ed was vice president and head of compliance for emerging markets for Takeda Pharmaceuticals and general counsel and head of compliance for international operations for Novo Nordisk. 

He received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
