Brexit – A selection of legal questions for the practice
The United Kingdom is no longer part of the EU Single Market and the EU Customs Union. The transitional rules expired at the end of 31 December 2020.
However, after intensive negotiations, the Partnership Agreement negotiated between the EU and the UK entered into force (provisionally) on 1 January 2021. This puts the relationship between the EU and the UK on a new basis and in particular provides for a new trade agreement - the UK-EU-Trade and Cooperation Agreement.
This new situation raises many legal questions and may currently also lead to uncertainties.
