Stephen Taeusch joins DLA Piper’s Employment practice in Northern California

DLA Piper announced today that Stephen Taeusch has joined the firm’s Employment practice as a partner in Northern California, based in the San Francisco office.

Taeusch represents employers in state and federal courts in a wide variety of employment-related matters, including wage and hour, wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, unfair business practices and retaliation claims in single plaintiff, multi-plaintiff and class action litigation. In addition to his litigation work, Taeusch counsels clients on a wide range of employment-related issues, including employee classification, leaves of absence, investigations and employment law compliance. He regularly provides employment law advice in connection with mergers and acquisitions, financings and asset transactions.

“Stephen is a key strategic addition to our Employment team in Northern California, where the employment litigation landscape is as busy as ever,” said Brian Kaplan, chair of DLA Piper’s US Employment practice and global co-chair. “Stephen brings highly sought-after employment law skills and experience to our already deep California bench, and we are thrilled for him to be joining the firm.”

“We are very pleased to welcome Stephen to the firm,” said Dean Fealk, the firm’s co-managing partner for Northern California. “As we focus more strategically on the employment aspects of transactional work, his experience advising on a broad range of complex deals will be immediately beneficial to our clients and an excellent complement to our regional, national and global Employment capabilities.”

Taeusch joins from Goodwin Procter LLP.
