Ellen Burno's experience includes litigating a variety of substantive legal areas including, but not limited to, the defense of health care entities in civil litigation and government investigations involving health law regulations, anti-kickback statutes, the Stark law and qui tam actions. Ellen has extensive experience defending aging services clients in actions involving claims of negligence, elder abuse statutory claims and wrongful death. She is also experienced in litigating matters in the areas of health care compliance, corporate due diligence and compliance, and has handled multidistrict litigation matters. Ellen has substantial experience representing medical providers and health care corporations in proceedings related to constitutional claims brought in federal and state court. Prior to joining DLA Piper, Ellen practiced with an international law firm in Chicago and New York City, as an attorney in Gainesville, Florida and with an insurance defense firm in Phoenix.

Ellen is licensed to practice law in the states of Arizona, Illinois, Kentucky and New York.
