Paula Mena Barreto is a partner of Campos Mello Advogados' Intellectual Property and Data Protection practice, based in Rio de Janeiro.

Paula focuses her practice on issues involving intellectual property, including IP transactions (intellectual property agreements, transfer of technology and franchising) and prosecution and consulting services with regard to trademarks, copyrights, patents and software.

Paula's vast experience in data protection and privacy includes advising clients on the implementation of privacy policies, as well as data breach and privacy compliance issues in marketing, labor and consumer related aspects. She provides counsel on strategies for IP management, including legal due diligence for evaluation of IP assets and analysis of data privacy compliance, IP policies and litigation.

Before joining Campos Mello Advogados, Paula served as a lawyer at a prominent Brazilian law firm for 14 years.
