DLA Piper's Margo Tank named to the National Law Journal's list of Technology Trailblazers

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Margo Tank, a US co-chair of the firm's Financial Services sector, has been named to the National Law Journal's list of Technology Trailblazers.

The editors recognized Tank for her efforts that enabled "the use and acceptance of electronic signatures," and noted her prediction that "In the next decade we will continue to see the intersection of technology and law in every sector."

Tank focuses her practice on advising commercial enterprises and technology companies on the full spectrum of regulatory compliance and enforcement matters related to the use of electronic signatures and records to enable digital product and service offerings and digital transactions, including utilizing mobile devices, smart contracts, blockchain technology and artificial intelligence. She also advises on various types of digital asset value transfers such as transferable records and electronic chattel paper; record custody; digital communication methods including CAN SPAM, TCPA, ADA; digital unfair or deceptive acts and practices; data privacy; cyber risk and information security. Tank also advises on laws enabling money transmission, virtual currencies and other emerging payments mechanisms.
