DLA Piper's Mark Radcliffe named to the <em>National Law Journal</em>'s list of Technology Trailblazers

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Mark Radcliffe, a Silicon Valley-based partner, has been named to the National Law Journal's list of Technology Trailblazers.

The editors recognized Radcliffe for his transactional IP work with clients such as assisting Network Solutions in developing the first domain dispute resolution system in 1994, and assisting SugarCRM in developing the "dual licensing" model for open source startups - which became the dominant business model for venture capital backed startups. Also highlighted was his role in drafting the governing documents of the OpenStack Foundation, which is the second fastest-growing open source community after the Linux community.

Radcliffe's practice is split evenly between corporate securities -particularly venture capital transactions-and intellectual property licensing and strategy. He works with technology companies and companies that use technology throughout the world. Currently, he is particularly focused on the use of blockchain technology and the use of tokens for capital formation and implementing new business models.
