DLA Piper promotes Adrianus Schoorl to global partnership

Global law firm DLA Piper has announced the promotion of Adrianus Schoorl to partner, effective May 1, 2026. His promotion forms part of a global cohort of 62 new partners, reflecting the firm’s continued growth across key practices and regions.

Adrianus leads the Financial Services Regulatory Practice for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). He brings a diverse international background, having spent four years working as a financial services regulator in Europe, the Middle East and North America, followed by two years as regulatory counsel at a major global fintech company.

Since joining DLA Piper in April 2024, Adrianus has focused on financial services, digital assets, payments, data regulation and technology. He has developed a strong reputation for advising on fund formation and financial services regulation, as well as the regulatory aspects of capital markets transactions.

Globally, the largest number of promotions are within the Corporate practice group, with 20 new partners, followed by Litigation with 12.
