About

Dávid Kőhegyi heads the Compliance and Investigations practice of DLA Piper Hungary. As a specialist in regulatory investigations and international dispute settlement, Dávid dedicates most of his time to representing clients in solving regulatory problems, dealing with high profile investigations - often involving multiple jurisdictions - and resolving international disputes.

Dávid has a particular expertise in investor-state arbitration and recently participated in the renegotiation of ICSID's Arbitration Rules. Dávid is on ICSID's Panel of Arbitrators as Hungary's designee. He is also a recommended arbitrator by the Permanent Court of Arbitration of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Prior to joining our team in Budapest, Dávid worked in the Budapest and the New York offices of a magic circle law firm where he focused on international and investment arbitration. Earlier, he interned at the Office of Legal Affairs of the United Nations Secretariat in New York.

Dávid is a dual-qualified attorney as a member of the Budapest Bar Association and the State Bar of New York. He was Second Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hungary.
