About

Mona is a senior corporate lawyer with 15 years’ experience advising international clients on cross-border M&A, joint ventures and investment funds. Having worked in London, Singapore, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, she brings a globally informed perspective combined with deep, on-the-ground experience in the UAE.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advising a listed entity on its participation in a competitive auction process.
  • Secondment to Borouge PLC, an ADX-listed industrial group undergoing a combination with Borealis and merger involving Nova Chemicals to create a new entity set to become the world's fourth-largest polyolefins player by nameplate capacity.
  • Advising ADX-listed AD Ports Group on the merger of its KEZAD Communities operation with Al Eskan Al Jamae Group, creating Abu Dhabi’s largest integrated staff accommodation company with an equity value of approximately USD 1.9 billion (AED 7 billion).
  • Advising EDGE Group PJSC on its acquisition of a 50% stake in Flaris and complex joint venture in relation to the development of personal jets.
  • Advising NYSE-listed Tyson Foods on acquiring strategic stakes in subsidiaries of Saudi-listed food manufacturing group Tanmia.
  • Advising a European Defense and Space Manufacturing company on its joint venture with an Abu Dhabi government entity in relation to the establishment of a UAE satellites business.
  • Advising Lanzatech on its formation of a joint venture with Olayan Financing Company to deploy carbon recycling technology in Saudi Arabia.
  • Advising a French-headquartered water services company on its joint venture with a UAE conglomerate.
  • Advising listed Gulf business on the acquisition of FMCG businesses in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
  • Advising an international IT services and consulting company on its acquisition of a UAE headquartered digital transformation consultancy with a presence in the UAE, India, the UK and Canada.
  • Advising various international and local clients (including family offices) on issues relating to the promotion of foreign funds in the UAE, ADGM and DIFC, the establishment of an ADGM and DIFC fund manager or other regulated entity funds with a focus on QIFs and venture capital funds.
  • Advising an asset manager, formed as a joint venture between a UAE government entity and an international asset manager, on the establishment of a property fund in the Abu Dhabi Global Market.
