Andrew Morrison is a Senior Associate in DLA Piper’s Intellectual Property and Technology (IPT) Group.

Andrew has extensive experience advising public and private sector clients in relation to complex commercial contracting, critical ICT transactions, strategic business process outsourcing programs and high-value public procurement projects, with a particular focus on clients operating in highly regulated industries.

Andrew is also passionate about privacy and data protection, having advised clients on data protection and privacy compliance, cybersecurity uplift activities and data breach response.

  • Advising a UAE-based airline on a complex outsourcing agreement for IT security services with IBM.
  • Advising a UAE-based airline on a complex business process outsourcing agreement for services with Wipro.
  • Advising a UAE telecommunications provider on the development and negotiation of a significant amendment to its existing contract for the provision of modules of the client's business support services solution, including the expansion of the scope of work to be undertaken by an existing supplier to include system integration obligations.
  • Advising a UAE government Department on development and negotiation of an agreement for the development, implementation and maintenance of a complex unified payment platform for payments to be made to government entities.
  • Advising a consortium of Georgian banks on the negotiation of an agreement with a French software provider for the implementation and maintenance of a treasury market software suite, including preparing the associated internal governance agreement between the consortium members.
  • Advising a major KSA-based chemicals company on the negotiation of its agreements with SAP for a broad range of cloud-based services.
  • Advising a Hong Kong based logistics service provider in relation to the outsourcing of its internal group IT function to IBM / Kyndrl.

  • Advising a major payment card services corporation on the negotiation of an agreement with the Dubai government in relation to the establishment of the client's EMEA region headquarters and associated commercial incentives.
  • Advising a UAE-based automotive distributor on a series of complex tri-partite distribution agreements for the distribution of a major Chinese EV manufacturer's vehicles in the KSA.
  • Advising a US-based distributor on the development and negotiation of a partnership agreement for the promotion and sale of a UAE-based manufacturer's products to customers in the USA.
  • Advising a major UAE-based beauty product manufacturer in relation to the development of its intra-group distribution agreement and intra-group services agreement to meet transfer pricing obligations.
