Joseph Spinks heads the Brussels’ real estate practice and specialises in cross-border and domestic real estate transactions (both share transactions and asset deals) and in large-scale construction and development projects.

Joseph is a highly recognised expert in corporate real estate transactions. He has extensive experience in structuring real estate projects, real estate financing and general expertise in all aspects of contracts and commercial law. His international and multilingual background and experience provide the capacity to cater to international clients for complex cross-border work.

Joseph's clients include companies in a range of sectors including offices, retail, hotel & leisure, logistics, data centers and healthcare.

  • Advised Riyad Capital with respect to the acquisition of the new PwC headquarters in the Airport district in Brussels.
  • Advised NH Hotels on the sale of the NH Hotel Brussels Louise in Brussels.
  • Advised a multinational aparthotel operator in relation to an aparthotel project in Antwerp.
  • Advised a multinational on various build-to-suit warehouse lease projects in Belgium covering both the development and lease aspects.
  • Advised a US private equity fund on its investment in a soccer club in Belgium.
  • Advised an EV manufacturer on its expansion into the Belgian market, negotiating the contractual documentation for its first retail location (including lease and development aspects).
  • Advised a US multinational on the sale of industrial property in Belgium.
  • Advised an upscale US luxury retailer on its first Belgian retail location.
  • Advised a Belgian public entity on all aspects of the realisation of its new state-of-the-art warehousing station on the outskirts of Brussels.

  • Advised a Luxemburg investment fund in respect of the acquisition of SPV entities holding the ownership rights in logistics assets located in Belgium and Denmark.

  • Advised a real estate developer on the sale of the shares in an SPV entity, owner of a landmark building in Brussels occupied by the Flemish administration.
