DLA Piper appoints new partner to Edinburgh Real Estate team

DLA Piper is further strengthening its Real Estate practice with the appointment of Finlay Campbell as partner to its Edinburgh office. He joins from the Scottish firm Brodies.

Finlay’s practice focuses on working with investors in the acquisition, management and disposal of properties in the retail, leisure, office, industrial and alternative market sectors. He also represents corporate occupiers and leisure operators with a particular focus on commercial leasing.

Commenting on the appointment, UK Head of Real Estate, William Naunton, said:

“Finlay’s practice complements our offering and will allow him to contribute to the continued growth of our Scottish Real Estate practice, as well as creating opportunities across the UK and beyond. He is a welcome addition to the practice as we continue to build on our prominence in the market.”

Finlay’s appointment is yet another example of the firm’s commitment to developing its global real estate offering, following on from a number of partner hires within the past 12 months. James Knox will be joining the team from BCLP at the start of next year. Bonnie Calnan joined the London office from Dentons in June as did Jonny Powling from Addleshaw Goddard, Stephanie Lambert joined the Sydney team from Holman Fenwick Willan in April, Marc Bartholomy and a team of three joined the Moscow office in March from Clifford Chance and Joseph Spinks from Linklaters joined the Brussels team in September last year.
