John Hamill is a nationally recognized first chair trial and appellate lawyer whose practice ranges across the full spectrum of complex commercial litigation. He helps clients solve their most challenging problems.  

John has led teams in trial court, appellate courts, and arbitrations nationwide. Subject matters have covered a wide field of sophisticated business and other litigation. They include antitrust and competition law, healthcare, insurance, telecommunications, sports and media, First Amendment, pharmaceutical, energy, professional responsibility, and all types of business-to-business disputes. He regularly counsels clients in antitrust and unfair competition matters. He is deeply committed to pro bono work and has tried multiple civil rights cases for pro bono clients. 

John is a member of the Chicago Inn of Courts. He has served on the boards of the Seventh Circuit Bar Association and the Chicago chapter of the Federal Bar Association. He has taught antitrust law seminars and persuasive writing for advocates.
