  • Novo Nordisk, a global pharmaceutical company, in nationwide litigation involving Victoza® and other incretin-based diabetes therapies. After nearly eight years of litigation and more than 300 filed cases, obtained exclusion of plaintiffs' general causation experts and summary judgment on federal preemption grounds, effectively ending the litigation and securing important causation and preemption precedent for pharmaceutical manufacturers.
  • Sanofi as co-national counsel in litigation and regulatory proceedings arising from allegations that Zantac® (ranitidine) contained NDMA. The firm played a leading role in scientific and expert strategy and helped secure exclusion of plaintiffs' general causation experts, effectively ending the federal MDL, one of the most significant pharmaceutical mass tort victories in US history.
  • Bayer, a global life sciences company, in litigation involving Essure®, an implantable contraceptive device. As lead strategic and global coordinating counsel, helped resolve approximately 90% of claims and coordinated litigation strategy across 12 countries, achieving more than 80 favorable trial and appellate outcomes in jurisdictions including France, Brazil, Spain, and Canada.
  • Pfizer, a global biopharmaceutical company, in multidistrict litigation involving Chantix®. As national counsel, obtained summary judgment and dismissal of all claims, resulting in a complete defense victory.
  • Bristol Myers Squibb and Pfizer, global biopharmaceutical companies, in litigation involving Eliquis®. As national counsel, obtained dismissal of all claims on federal preemption grounds before discovery, with the dismissal subsequently affirmed by the Second Circuit.
  • Pfizer and Eli Lilly, global biopharmaceutical companies, in litigation involving Viagra® and Cialis®. As co-national counsel, secured exclusion of plaintiffs' general causation experts, effectively ending the litigation.
  • Pfizer, a global biopharmaceutical company, in multidistrict litigation involving Depo-Provera®, a contraceptive injectable product. As national counsel, represent the company in litigation involving approximately 13,000 plaintiffs and complex scientific, regulatory, and causation issues.
  • Merck, a global pharmaceutical company, in landmark EU and UK competition proceedings involving alleged "pay-for-delay" pharmaceutical patent settlement agreements. The matter addresses novel issues at the intersection of patent law, regulatory approval, and antitrust enforcement.
  • Sanofi, a global biopharmaceutical company, in a high-stakes R&D licensing dispute concerning NK-92 cell technology and its Sarclisa® (isatuximab) product. The matter involves claims for royalties tied to worldwide commercial sales.
  • Caelum, Inc., a biotechnology company acquired by Alexion Pharmaceuticals, in a commercial dispute involving antibody technology for AL amyloidosis. The matter includes claims for trade secret misappropriation, breach of contract, and tortious interference.
