EXPERIENCE
- He is currently assisting several clients on matters and potential transactions in Mexico in connection with the newly reformed National Waters Law, including Fifth Generation (Tito's) and IFF
- He worked as DLA Piper Mexico's environmental co-counsel representing Coeur on a recent compliance investigation with complex underlying national waters components related to a mining project
- He led and conformed the legal team in charge of the environmental aspects of the recent acquisition of Iberdrola's assets in Mexico from Grupo Cox for US$4.2 billion – one of the largest cross-border energy deals of 2025, including current additional support on water infrastructure related projects in Mexico
- He assisted Ainda and Grupo Energía Bogotá in the environmental aspects of a potential investment project in Mexico

Prior Experience
Adrián was a co-founding Partner and head of the same practice areas at Assembla from 2024 to 2025 and at Ibarra, del Paso y Gallego (now Ibarra Gallego) from 2011 to 2024. From his prior experience and professional formation, Adrián worked in top transactional Firms in Mexico, including Barrera, Siqueiros y Torres Landa (now Hogan Lovells Cadwalader), Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez, as well as in the first boutique Law Firm of environmental Law in Mexico.
