Hop Lun expands global footprint through key manufacturing facilities acquisition in Morocco

DLA Piper has advised Hop Lun, a global fashion lingerie and swimwear company based in Hong Kong, on the acquisition of three manufacturing facilities in Morocco from two leading organisations in the North African textile sector.

The three acquisitions are made up of:

  • Tobago, a Moroccan manufacturer specializing in corsetry, lingerie, and swimwear.
  • the Moroccan operations of the French group Chantelle, namely the Famaco and Atma manufacturing facilities, which together produce approximately 1.4 million pieces per year, as well as the company Chantma.

These acquisitions form part of Hop Lun’s international expansion strategy and strengthen its industrial footprint globally and in Morocco, a key manufacturing hub serving European and international markets. It additionally reflects DLA Piper’s ability to help global companies establish a strategic foothold in North Africa, leveraging the firm's integrated team to navigate regulatory frameworks and unlock new market opportunities.
