About

Ricardo Mendoza represents national and multinational companies in complex tax controversies, international tax planning, transactional tax matters, and corporate work throughout Mexico.

He regularly advises clients on tax dispute resolution at every stage — from audits and administrative proceedings before Mexican tax authorities to litigation before the Federal Tax and Administrative Court and federal courts. His practice in tax controversy draws on specialized training in administrative annulment trials and tax procedural law, enabling him to develop defense strategies grounded in both technical rigor and practical business objectives.

Ricardo counsels foreign entities on structuring their inbound investments into Mexico, including entity formation, cross-border supply chains, and ongoing compliance. He advises on the Mexican tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations, providing transactional tax due diligence, deal structuring, and post-closing integration support to ensure clients achieve efficient outcomes across multiple jurisdictions.

On the corporate side, Ricardo assists companies in establishing (soft landing) and maintaining their operations in Mexico, addressing regulatory requirements from formation through day-to-day governance and compliance matters.

A responsive and solutions-oriented advisor, Ricardo is valued for his ability to navigate both the technical and practical dimensions of complex engagements across diverse commercial sectors. He is a usual speaker at forums organized by national private associations and colleges and has participated in legislative proceedings before the Mexican Deputies Chamber.
