DLA Piper advises Imerys in signing major renewable Power Purchase Agreement with Akuo to supply 30% of its US electricity needs
DLA Piper advised Imerys, a leading supplier of mineral-based specialty solutions, in signing an important 15-year Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) with Akuo, a French renewable energy supplier, to source approximately 30% of its electricity needs in the United States from renewable sources.
This strategic partnership between Imerys and Akuo includes the construction of a 153 GWh solar park in Texas and marks a key milestone in Imerys’ journey to decarbonize its activities. The solar park is expected to begin operations in April 2026.
“It has been an honor to work with Imerys on this significant CPPA that will support the company in its endeavor to minimize its carbon footprint,” said Lindsay MacLeod, the DLA Piper partner who led the deal team.
