Laure intervenes in environmental law and regulatory law within the Real Estate department. She advises and litigates with French and foreign players on environmental issues relating to the development, operation and marketing of projects. In particular, she handles matters relating to industrial environmental law (ICPE, polluted soils, water, waste, chemicals), biodiversity, climate and renewable energies, the circular economy and ESG.

Laure joined DLA Piper in 2024 after 11 years working in the public / energy / environment team of a French international law firm.

She contributed to the new guide Lamy Liaisons on the energy transition published in July 2024 and notably published “PPWR: How does it fit in with French Law requirements?” in May 2025 and “ERP and international trade” (BDEI n°105, Supplement, June 2023).

EXPERIENCE

  • Advising of a UK company considering the acquisition of a French food production company with various regulatory issues raised by a future extension project.
  • Advising a US company of textile recycling with a development project in France.
  • Advising a US company in relation with the entry into force of the prohibition of non-recyclable styrenic packaging, which was planned for 1 January 2025. After a governmental opinion issued in September 2024 and the law adapting French law to EU law dated 30 April 2025, this prohibition has been deleted for now.
  • Advising a French eco-organization in charge of packaging management on issues raised by upcoming or new regulations related to packaging and waste packaging management.
  • Advising a Dutch shoes company regarding circular economy and eco-contributions for waste management.
  • Assistance of a global technology company in various ESG matters such as: French legal framework on sustainability and ESG reporting obligations, the consequences of the Law of 27 February 2025 aiming at protecting the population from the risks associated with perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), etc.
  • Drafting of panoramas of the ESG legal framework in France for various international companies.
  • Advising a Korean retail company on packaging and labelling regulations.
  • Regular assistance to the French subsidiary of a multinational video game manufacturer in matters relating to the circular economy.*
