DLA Piper Canada welcomes associate Stephanie Kolla

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomes back Stephanie Kolla as an associate to the Litigation, Arbitration and ‎Investigations group. Stephanie has a practice focused on commercial litigation and privacy law.

Rooted in her in-house experience, Stephanie brings a business-centred and client-focused perspective to her practice.

Stephanie’s litigation practice centres on Commercial List litigation, including public and private company disputes, ‎‎merger and acquisition litigation and securities litigation. She has represented clients and assisted senior counsel before all levels of Court in Alberta and ‎‎various levels of court in Ontario and the Federal Court of Canada. She has also acted as lead counsel to ‎‎international companies before international and domestic commercial arbitration panels.‎

As senior legal counsel at an international performance luxury brand, Stephanie managed and strengthened the brand’s privacy compliance under GDPR, CCPA, and PIPEDA. She advised the business on a range of complex data protection issues particularly around e-commerce compliance, data collection, commercial exploitation, and corporate governance. In addition, Stephanie negotiated a range of privacy related commercial and SaaS agreements.

Stephanie first joined the firm in 2018 and practised as an associate in our Toronto office. She is called to the Bar in Ontario, Alberta, and New York State.
